Sword of Revolutionary War General Hugh Mercer Presented to Museum by St. Andrew’s Society of Philadelphia
A sword that belonged to General Hugh Mercer, a fallen hero of the American Revolution and a close friend of George Washington, was presented to the Museum of the American Revolution by the St. Andrew’s Society of Philadelphia at a ceremony today, Jan. 12, the 240th anniversary of Mercer’s death. The sword will be on display at the new Museum when it opens to the public on April 19, 2017.

Museum of the American Revolution Names John Aglialoro as New Board Member
At its Sept. 21 meeting, the Board of Directors of the Museum of the American Revolution elected John Aglialoro as its newest member. Also at the meeting, Board Member David Acton was named Vice Chairman, filling the position that was vacated with the passing of Carl Buchholz earlier this year.
