A large-scale reconstruction of an American privateer ship commissioned by the Museum of the American Revolution is now being transported to the new Museum after being constructed by Independence Seaport Museum’s boat-building workshop, Workshop on the Water.

New “Third Tuesdays” Series Kicks Off Sept. 19
The Museum of the American Revolution’s new “Third Tuesdays: History After Hours” series kicks off on Tuesday, Sept. 19 with extended evening hours from 5 – 8 p.m. on the third Tuesday evening of each month, featuring special themed programs, happy hour food and drink specials, games and trivia, and full access to the Museum’s exhibits. The next “Third Tuesdays” event this year will take place on Oct. 17. They will resume in January 2018.

Renowned Painting of George Washington’s March to Valley Forge Installed at Museum of the American Revolution
From textbooks to postage stamps and post cards, William Trego’s “The March to Valley Forge, December 19, 1777” is one of the most reproduced – and recognizable – images commemorating the Revolutionary War. The iconic work was recently installed at the Museum of the American Revolution and will be on display when the Museum opens on April 19.

It’s a Revolutionary Summer at the Museum of the American Revolution
June 21 marks the official start of summer, and the Museum of the American Revolution is celebrating by announcing extended hours, special programs, a happy hour series and family fun all summer long. From June 17 – Sept. 4, the Museum will feature extended summertime hours from 9:30 a.m. – 6 p.m. For the month of July, hours will be extended even further until 7pm. After Labor Day, Museum hours will return to 10 a.m. – 5 p.m.
