This image shows adolescent males, in military costumes, sitting inside the camp site tent in Revolution Place. There is also a mother dressing her son in a military costume, standing outside the tent.

It’s springtime, and the Continental Army is getting ready to march out of Valley Forge! On Saturday, April 16, join Museum staff for this hour-long, family-friendly event that will find everyone mustering to attention. First, we’ll discover the uniforms and clothing worn by soldiers and camp followers, which could be a whole range of colors and styles depending on who you were, where you came from, and even your role in the military. Then we’ll practice putting up our tents and learning our maneuvers as we become a company ready for the battlefield.

A ticket to this event includes admission to the Museum. Please note, this is not a drop-off event. One adult is required per every four children.
