History After Hours: Shot Heard Round the World

April 19, 2018 - 3:00 pm to 8:00 pm
Museum of the American Revolution

This event is free and open to the public.  Tickets for the event will be available starting at 2:00 pm on Thursday, April 19 and will be distributed on a first-come, first-serve basis.

Recall the first shots fired on April 19, 1775 at Lexington and Concord, Massachusetts and join us for lantern-lit festivities in commemoration of the Museum’s first year open!

Be a part of the Museum’s history and sign your name to this Revolutionary muster roll which will be included in a time capsule to be locked away in the Museum’s archives until 2026, America’s 250th birthday year. Once inside, take time in the Lexington and Concord gallery and learn about the event immortalized by the famous line "Shot Heard 'Round the World". Continue your experience with one of our Discovery Carts and create your own link in a giant paper chain and laurel wreath that will decorate the Museum throughout the weekend. From 5:00 - 8:00, be sure to take a commemorative photo with Old City Photobooth to pair with your free Museum Anniversary magnet!

Cross Keys Café will be open until 8 p.m. with food and drink specials and a special prize wheel.

The History After Hours Series and discount admission sponsored by PECO.
