Join Peale's Company of the Philadelphia Associators at the Museum on Saturday, Dec. 4 as they muster to defend the Revolution in its darkest hour. In December 1776, artist and soldier Charles Willson Peale canvassed the neighborhood where the Museum now stands to gather support for the flagging Revolutionary cause. His militiamen, the Philadelphia Associators, marched off to confront the British in New Jersey.

Join us at the Museum for a one-day living history program to meet the Philadelphia Associators, learn military drill, and find out how they survived “the times that tried men’s souls.”
