For students today, the American Revolution can often feel like it was inevitable but this disregards the difficult question of how a continent of loyal British subjects could transform into Revolutionaries ready to risk their lives and livelihoods to rebel against an Empire. Join Museum educators at this free online teacher workshop as they dig into this key question that we help students answer in our galleries. Participants of this workshop will examine historical documents and artifacts from the Museum suitable for engaging students in an exploration of this question while discussing present-day connections to help them better empathize with those that experienced this historical event.
