Collections Society members are invited to a special evening at the Museum to meet textile conservator Virginia J. Whelan for a private tour and discussion with Museum Curator of Exhibitions Matthew Skic. Whelan and Skic will share new discoveries and insights from piecing together surviving fragments of George Washington’s tents for a signature display in Witness to Revolution: The Unlikely Travels of Washington’s TentFollowing the behind-the-scenes tour, the conversation will continue over a private reception, presentation, and Q&A in the Museum’s Cross Keys Café.
