Discovering History: Memorialization at the Museum
May 23, 2020Throughout Memorial Day Weekend, the Museum paid tribute to the men and women who lost their lives in service to their country during the Revolutionary War and celebrating the freedoms they fought to secure for future generations.
Learn about memorialization in the Museum’s galleries in this presentation from Associate Curator Matthew Skic, who takes you through the stories — and surviving artifacts — of Revolutionary soldiers and officers such as Polish cavalryman Casimir Pulaski, Colonel Jonathan Pettibone, and Gershom Prince, a Black soldier who was killed in action.
