Phillips previously worked at the Please Touch Museum, where she was part of the transition team that tripled the size of the visitor service staff, growing from an operation of 15,000 square feet of exhibit space with annual attendance of 180,000 to an operation with annual attendance of 600,000 in 35,000 square feet of exhibit space.

Most recently, she served as general manager for Sky Zone, the world’s first indoor trampoline park, where she was responsible for hiring, training, and scheduling more than 100 team members.

In her new role, Phillips will be responsible for the successful management of the daily operation of the Visitor Services Department, training and leading the staff in providing a high level of customer service, overseeing the sale of tickets to the Museum, and ensuring that visitors have assistance with their questions about the Museum and other attractions in Philadelphia. Phillips will also be responsible for maintaining accurate records and financial controls for the ticket sale operations.

“Providing visitors to the Museum with the best possible experience is our top priority,” said Michael Quinn, President and CEO of the Museum of the American Revolution. “Candice’s proven ability to deliver excellent customer service and provide leadership through times of transition make her well qualified for this position as the Museum prepares to open in April 2017.”

Phillips’s professional experience also includes leading the team that opened Roster at the Cherry Hill Mall in 2012. This position was responsible for recruiting, hiring, and training the opening team of 15 staff as well as setting up merchandise for sale.
