Revolution Society & George Washington Council
The Revolution Society was established in 2015, years before the Museum opened, to ensure a strong foundation of sustaining annual support for our cause. Since then, a dynamic community of donors and friends have joined our pursuit of ambitious goals. Making gifts of $1,000 - $4,999 each year, these dedicated members enable the Museum to care for our world-class collection and offer educational programs to engage every generation. Membership FAQs
Memberships are valid for one year from the date of purchase and expire on the last day of the month. For example, a membership purchased on July 4th would expire on July 31st of the following year.
In order for a membership to be considered a founding membership, it must have been purchased prior to April 30, 2018. Founding memberships must be renewed every year or their benefits will lapse. In addition to the prestige of membership in the founder class, founding memberships provide the same benefits as standard memberships.
Your membership, valid immediately upon transaction, may be purchased several ways:
To purchase a membership online, click here. You will receive a confirmation email that you can print and bring to the Museum for admission.
To purchase a membership by phone, call 267-579-3565.
Or you may purchase a new membership at the Museum’s Front Desk on the day of your visit. New Members are issued a temporary member card which can be used until the permanent card arrive.
To begin enjoying your benefits before you receive your Member Welcome Packet, simply present a valid photo ID at the membership desk for verification.
Discounted parking for Museum Members is available just around the corner from the Museum. Members should park at Autopark at Olde City, a covered garage located at 125 S. 2nd Street. The Museum Member rate is $14.00 for up to 3 hours of parking. Obtain a discount voucher at the Museum’s Front Desk before returning to the garage and use the voucher when you pay for parking. Guests who sign up for a Museum Membership on the day of their visit are also eligible for the discounts at this garage.
Metered street parking is also a choice (no discount provided). Please be aware of the posted rules for street parking, as they vary by day of the week and time of day.
If you purchase your membership online, you will receive a temporary membership card as a PDF attachment to the confirmation email. If you purchase at the Museum’s Front Desk, you will receive a temporary membership card.
It typically takes one to two weeks from the date of purchase to receive your Member Welcome Packet in the mail, which will include your permanent membership card. If you mailed in your payment, the process may take longer.
Members are always welcome to visit the Museum before they receive their welcome packet or if they do not have their membership card with them. When you arrive, stop by the Front Desk in the Museum rotunda with a valid photo ID. Our Guest Services team will provide you with everything that you need for the day.
No, your membership card is non-transferable. However, Memberships at the Dual and above levels include one-time use guest passes which can be used in your absence.
Members may upgrade at any time. Upgrades are not prorated. Upgrades within three months of renewal will be charged at the new level rate rather than the difference. Downgrading a membership is only allowed during renewal.
