How has the Declaration of Independence impacted the world and what can we still learn from it today? Using artwork, historical objects, and documents from the Museum's special exhibition The Declaration's Journey, presented by Griffin Catalyst, Museum educators will dig into how the Declaration transcended its origin as a statement of nationhood and went on to influence world history in the 250 years since its adoption. Participants will be introduced to the Museum’s free teacher resource guide and come away with lessons and activities they can use in the classroom to share the story of the Declaration’s ongoing impact with students.
