The Museum's George Washington Council members are invited by Morris W. Offit, Chair of the Board of Directors, and Martha McGeary Snider, Vice Chair of the Board of Directors and Chair of the George Washington Council to an evening celebrating “The American Revolution” (which premieres Nov. 16 on PBS), Ken Burns's landmark documentary on how America's founding turned the world upside-down. Featuring a conversation with Ken's co-directors Sarah Botstein and David Schmidt, moderated by Museum President and CEO Dr. R. Scott Stephenson, learn about the vision and decade-long teamwork required to create this six-part, 12-hour series.
The George Washington Council provides the Museum’s most significant source of contributed support to sustain the Museum and advance our vision for the future. These philanthropic leaders make annual gifts of $5,000 or more that sustain our programs and launch new initiatives that are core to our mission. Once a year, the George Washington Council gathers for a celebratory dinner that brings supporters together from across the country. Learn more online or contact Jane Hayden at [email protected].
