A costumed interpreter pours tea from a silver teapot

On Sunday Nov. 2, between 1-2 p.m., Members are invited to stop by the Museum’s third-floor Liberty Hall for a spot of tea during Revolutionary Philadelphia: 1775, the Museum’s flagship living history weekend event. Revolutionary Philadelphia: 1775, Nov. 1-2, will recreate what life was like 250 years ago, only months before Americans would declare their independence from King George III. While enjoying light refreshments, Members and History Explorers of all ages will have the opportunity to hear stories from costumed living history interpreters, including some familiar faces, about what life was like in Philadelphia on the eve of revolution. Learn a new favorite game or recipe before venturing back into the galleries or heading out for a walking tour, discounted for Members with advanced registration.

Plan your visit to make the most of the Museum as a Member. Members receive exclusive discounts on our popular outdoor walking tours featuring a spy challenge and immersive street theater vignettes. Visit The Declaration’s Journey, presented by Griffin Catalyst, and experience the Museum’s core exhibitions, with discounts in the Museum Shop and Cross Keys Café.

This Nov. 2 event is for Museum Members only. Not a Member? Join today for exclusive access to this event and be the first to accept an invitation to the annual 2026 State of the Museum Address, a hybrid talk and reception for Members, presented by Museum President and CEO Dr. R. Scott Stephenson, plus unlimited free admission all year long, special discounts, exclusive perks, and so much more! You can join online or contact Emily Grenier, Membership Manager, at [email protected] with any questions.
