We've all heard that a picture is worth a thousand words, but what about a historical object? Join Museum educators as we examine paintings of historical events alongside objects from the Museum’s latest special exhibit, Liberty: Don Troiani’s Paintings of the Revolutionary War. Teachers participating in this free workshop will get a sneak peek at featured paintings and material culture from the exhibit while investigating how close-looking and analysis of them can be a gateway to student understanding of the people, places, and events of the American Revolution.
The Liberty Workshop Series is presented in partnership with the American Battlefield Trust.
