This event is free and exclusive for Museum Members.

On Thursday, May 15, 2025 at 6 p.m., Museum Members are invited to the 2025 State of the Museum Address, an exclusive annual gathering for Museum Members nationwide. Join us for an evening presentation and reception hosted by Museum President and CEO Dr. R. Scott Stephenson, who will reflect on the Museum’s recent accomplishments and offer a behind-the-scenes look at plans for future engagement and growth. Museum Senior Curator Matthew Skic and Museum Director of Education & Community Engagement Adrienne Whaley will join the hybrid program and Q&A to preview plans for The Declaration’s Journey, the special exhibit that will open in October 2025, and the Museum’s educational initiatives to coincide with the 250th anniversary of the nation’s founding in 2026.
Members who attend onsite will be the first to view key artifacts on loan to The Declaration’s Journey in Lenfest Myer Theater, followed by a complimentary reception in the Museum’s first-floor Rotunda and Cross Keys Café.
Members who register in advance will have the opportunity to suggest topics and questions for Museum staff and receive a private link to view the event recording when it is first available. Thank you to our Members, near and far, who support the Museum mission to uncover and share compelling stories about the diverse people and complex events that sparked America’s ongoing experiment in liberty, equality, and self-government.
Not a Member yet? Members receive invitations to exclusive events, including the State of the Museum Address, every year and discounts on additional programs and tours offered both onsite and online. Please contact Membership Manager Emily Grenier at [email protected] to learn more and join.
