Mansergh and St. George Families

Richard Mansergh St. George’s ancestors moved from England to Ireland in the 1600s. Following the English Civil War (1642-1651), they took control of thousands of acres of Irish land. His father’s family (the Manserghs) owned land in County Cork and County Tipperary, while his mother’s family (the St. Georges) owned land chiefly in County Galway and County Kilkenny.
