David Shaw’s Powder Horn

The 5th Massachusetts Regiment was already in the Hudson Highlands when the rest of the Continental Army joined it. David Shaw was with the 5th in the Highlands and included an American flag with an unusual arrangement of 13 stars, along with other designs, on his horn.
