– Pulitzer Prize-winning biographer Stacy Schiff will join the Museum of the American Revolution on Wednesday, Jan. 31, 2024, from 6:30 p.m. – 8 p.m. for an evening discussion with Museum President and CEO Dr. R. Scott Stephenson, inspired by her most recent book, The Revolutionary: Samuel Adams, and Adams’s attendance at the First Continental Congress at Philadelphia’s Carpenters’ Hall in 1774. The evening will be held in partnership with The Carpenters’ Company of the City and County of Philadelphia.

With a shared commitment to presenting a more inclusive—and thus a more accurate—telling of history, the Museum of the American Revolution and the Dennis Farm Charitable Land Trust (DFCLT) will host, “It Begins with Each of Us: Fostering Racial Understanding,” a candid conversation about race at the Museum on Saturday, Feb. 10, 2024, from 1 p.m. – 3:30 p.m.

Throughout Women’s History Month, be sure to explore our newest special exhibition "Witness to Revolution: The Unlikely Travels of Washington’s Tent" to learn the diverse stories of the women who played critical roles in the tent's journey.

March into spring at the Museum of the American Revolution over Spring Break, March 23 – April 7, 2024, to explore what life was like during the Revolutionary War with military-themed crafts, interactive discovery carts, in-gallery talks, and more. Plus, celebrate the start of the season by joining an outdoor neighborhood walking tour, offered daily.

Young history buffs are invited to join us at the Museum of the American Revolution this April for two new History Explorer Day Camps, designed with kids ages 7-11 in mind. At these full day, drop-off/pickup programs, students will use the Museum, our collection, and our Old City neighborhood as resources as they embark on Revolutionary-themed adventures. Day camps will take place on Wednesday, April 10, 2024 and Tuesday, April 23, 2024, which coincide with days that the Philadelphia School District and Archdiocese of Philadelphia are closed.

– Join fellow Francophiles at the Museum of the American Revolution on Friday, April 19, 2024, from 5:30 p.m. – 7:30 p.m. for AmRev Presents: French History Night. This happy hour soirée will be hosted by the Museum’s Associate Curator of Exhibition Content and Research, James Taub, who will connect French history to the American Revolution in a special interactive presentation at 6 p.m. in the Museum’s Cross Keys Café.

An eyewitness pen-and-ink sketch depicting Continental Army soldiers and camp followers marching through Philadelphia on Aug. 25, 1777, which has never been documented or published by historians, has been donated to the Museum of the American Revolution.
