The Museum of the American Revolution will recreate the dark days of the British occupation during Occupied Philadelphia, a two-day living history event on Saturday and Sunday, Oct. 20 – 21. Throughout the weekend, the Museum will offer guided walking tours, special programming, and family-friendly activities exploring what life was like in the city while British forces controlled it.

During Spring Break from Saturday, March 24 – Sunday, April 8, 2018, the Museum of the American Revolution will offer family-friendly activities and daily demonstrations that explore what life was like for the Continental Army and its followers during that spring of 1778.

Clean out those summer cobwebs by exploring the inspiring – and often surprising – story of our nation’s founding at the Museum of the American Revolution over Labor Day weekend, Saturday, Sept. 2 through Monday, Sept. 4. Kids 12 and under will receive free admission to the Museum throughout the weekend.

Young Friends and Museum Circle members are invited to join for a festive evening to kick off Occupied Philadelphia, the Museum’s annual living history weekend that recreates Philadelphia’s occupation by British troops in 1777-78 with neighborhood walking tours and family-friendly activities.

In partnership with the Museum, Dennis Farm Charitable Land Trust will present the fifth annual Lonaé A. Moore Memorial Forum, “It Begins with Each of Us: Fostering Racial Understanding."

The Museum of the American Revolution today announced that acclaimed documentary filmmaker Ken Burns will receive the Gerry Lenfest Spirit of the American Revolution Award in April 2019.
