Pulitzer Prize-winning author and historian Annette Gordon-Reed, the Carl M. Loeb University Professor at Harvard University, will join the Museum of the American Revolution virtually on Thursday, September 24, 2020, at 6 p.m. to examine how we can wrestle with—and have honest dialogue about—the complexities in our nation’s history.

Celebrate Native American history and culture during the Museum of the American Revolution’s annual Indigenous Peoples Weekend celebration from Saturday, Oct. 12 – Monday, Oct. 14, 2024. The weekend will include traditional Native American dance performances, hands-on demonstrations, and other special activities for all ages.

One of three extremely rare flags from the American Revolution, the Commander-in-Chief Flag will be on display June 14 at Winterthur with two additional standouts from the period: the 8th Virginia Regiment’s Grand Division (or Muhlenberg) Flag and the Forster Flag.

The recent discovery of a 235-year-old, seven-foot panoramic painting offers an invaluable glimpse into the Revolutionary War. The sweeping watercolor painting of the fall 1782 Continental Army encampment at Verplanck’s Point, New York, contains the only known wartime depiction of General Washington’s headquarters tent, his command center throughout the war.
