Women played vital roles on the homefront and with armies on campaign during the Revolutionary War. This Mother’s Day, the Museum of the American Revolution will celebrate Revolutionary women with a Mother’s Day Tea on Sunday, May 13, 2018, featuring special guest Martha Washington, portrayed by a costumed historical interpreter. Seatings will take place at 1 p.m. and 2 p.m.

Museum of the American Revolution Installs Bronze Sculptural Panels Depicting Iconic Revolutionary Moments

The finishing touches are being put on the new Museum of the American Revolution prior to its grand opening on April 19! On April 1, two large-scale (20’ x 40’) bronze sculptural panels were installed in the Museum’s outdoor plaza along Chestnut Street. The sculptures, which weigh in at 1500lbs. each, depict iconic paintings from the American Revolution.

Fife and Drum Party on the Plaza

On Saturday, August 19 from Noon – 3 p.m., the Museum of the American Revolution will host a Fife and Drum Party on the Museum’s outdoor plaza to celebrate the musicians of the Continental Army who helped the United States win its independence. The event is free and open to the public. (Rain plan: the party will be moved into the Museum’s first-floor Patriot Gallery and will still be free to the public.)
