Celebrate Black Founders with a Musical Experience Presented by The Jeremy Winston Chorale, May 12
Join the Museum of the American Revolution for a live musical experience on Friday, May 12, 2023, at 6:30 p.m., presented by The Jeremy Winston Chorale and inspired by the Museum’s special exhibition, Black Founders: The Forten Family of Philadelphia. Featuring more than 20 Chorale members and led by composer and artistic director Jeremy Winston, the concert will celebrate the life of free Black Philadelphian James Forten and explore Philadelphia’s rich musical history through storytelling and song.

Lancaster Native Donates Revolutionary War Toy Set to Museum of the American Revolution
Lancaster resident Dr. Dennis Denenberg remembers opening his Revolutionary War toy set on Christmas morning in 1957. As a 10-year-old boy, he was enthralled with the tiny soldiers, horses, and even miniature cannons with cannon balls.

Kids Can Explore History Through Hands-On Games, Crafts, and More at New, Immersive Day Camps at the Museum, April 10 & 23
Young history buffs are invited to join us at the Museum of the American Revolution this April for two new History Explorer Day Camps, designed with kids ages 7-11 in mind. At these full day, drop-off/pickup programs, students will use the Museum, our collection, and our Old City neighborhood as resources as they embark on Revolutionary-themed adventures. Day camps will take place on Wednesday, April 10, 2024 and Tuesday, April 23, 2024, which coincide with days that the Philadelphia School District and Archdiocese of Philadelphia are closed.
