Celebrate Thanksgiving Weekend at the Museum of the American Revolution

On October 3, 1789, George Washington issued a proclamation designating Thursday, November 26, of that year as a national day of thanks. During Thanksgiving Weekend, the Museum of the American Revolution will offer special talks, guided tours, and family-friendly activities from Friday, Nov. 24 – Sunday, Nov. 26 from 10 a.m. – 5 p.m. (6 p.m. on Friday).

Philadelphia's Museum of the American Revolution Now Open

On April 19, 1775, a shot rang out across the Old North Bridge in Concord, Massachusetts, igniting the Revolutionary War and changing the course of history forever. On April 19, 2017 – the 242nd anniversary of that “shot heard ‘round the world” – history was made once again as Philadelphia’s new Museum of the American Revolution officially opened to the public.

Museum of the American Revolution Appoints Dr. R. Scott Stephenson President and CEO

The Museum of the American Revolution today announced the appointment of Dr. R. Scott Stephenson, currently Vice President of Collections, Exhibitions, and Programming for the Museum, as President and CEO, effective Nov. 1, 2018. Since 2007, Stephenson has led the development of the Museum’s award-winning exhibitions, multimedia experiences, and educational programming, as well as overseeing the care and expansion of its rich collection of art and artifacts.
