Living History @ Home: Quansheba’s World

Join us and New-York Historical Society as we explore the world of Quansheba, a free woman of color who helped run a tavern in Philadelphia during the Revolutionary War. Learn about her life and the lives of other Black women by exploring a recreated tavern, investigating the archaeological collection at the Museum, and looking closely at artifacts that Quansheba may have actually used. During this special partner program, you will learn from New-York Historical’s living history coordinator, as well as an expert from the Museum.

This free virtual event is for all ages.
