Two white male adolescents, both standing at a wooden table, interact with a play tea set. The adolescent on the left is pretending to pour tea into a silver teacup from a silver teapot. The adolescent on the right has his hand on the teacup saucer. Both are dressed in Revolutionary-era outfits.

Partnering with the Satell Institute, the Museum is excited to offer new virtual programs for all future historians ages 7-11 as part of the SI Youth Enrichment Series.

How does an object travel from under the ground to in a museum? Join staff from the Museum of the American Revolution as we investigate how archeologists find an item from long ago under the ground, to how historians use observation skills to figure out what it might be, and finally how a curator decides to display it in a museum. In this four-week session, running Tuesdays, July 6, 13, 20 & 27, 2021 from 2-3 p.m., we’ll learn about the staff members who do these jobs at the Museum and end with working together to write a label for some of our own objects.
