For students today, the outcome of the Revolutionary War and the founding of the United States can often feel like it was inevitable, but this disregards the numerous low points and day-to-day uncertainty about the outcome of the war and the future of the nation that were felt by those who experienced it. Join Museum educators as we dig into this key question that we frequently help students answer in our galleries. Participants of this free educator workshop will examine historical documents and artifacts from the Museum suitable for engaging students in an exploration of this question while discussing present-day connections to help them better empathize with those that experienced this historical event.
