AP Features Washington's Headquarters Flag

Just in time for Flag Day, Associated Press reporter Kathy Matheson came by the Museum's storage facility to look at one of the highlights of our collection: George Washington's Headquarters Flag. Recently conserved thanks to a grant from the Pennsylvania Society of Sons of the Revolution and its Color Guard, the flag (also called a "standard") is believed to be the earliest surviving 13-star American flag.

For more about the history of this treasure, read the article, which includes a slideshow of images from our collection.
