Young Friends: 'Tavern Talks'

February 24, 2016

How many different ways can you say inebriated?

Bowz'd, Drunk as a Wheel-Barrow, Buzzey, Got a Brass Eye, Fuzl'd, Booz'd the Gage, As Dizzy as a Goose, Been before George, Knows not the way Home, Nimptopsical, In the Sudds...

Join the Museum of the American Revolution and Philadelphia History Museum for "Tavern Talks" on March 31 at 5:30

Hear from Dr. Philip Mead, Curator and Historian of the Museum of the American Revolution, about late 18th century tavern culture and alcohol while Kristen Froehlich, Director of the Collection of the Philadelphia History Museum, takes you on a white-glove experience of the History Museum's American Revolution collection.

Throughout the night, sip local Philly alcohol from WhistlePig Rye, Saint Benjamin Brewing Company, New Liberty Distillery, and Art in the Age of Mechanical Reproduction while enjoying bites from City Tavern, FARMiCiA, Campo's, and 2nd Story Brewing Company!
