Hessians and the Ten Crucial Days
Late on the night of Christmas Day, 1776, Washington’s army crossed the Delaware and went on to defeat a force of Hessians at the Battle of Trenton. But who were these strange German soldiers who fought with the British? On December 16, meet costumed living history interpreters portraying Hessians and visit a Museum educator in the galleries that highlight objects and stories from these winter battles.
